Overview

The prime objective of the enforcement work of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (“MPFA”) is to ensure compliance with the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance (“MPFSO”) (Chapter 485, Laws of Hong Kong), as well as to uphold the integrity and credibility of the MPF System.

The Enforcement Division of the MPFA is responsible for handling complaints, conduct investigations and enforcement actions against approved trustees for non-compliance with the MPF legislation.  It is also responsible for handling complaints and imposing disciplinary orders against MPF intermediaries.  In addition, the Enforcement Division is also responsible for taking enforcement actions against non-compliant employers, self-employed persons, scheme members and/or a person for carrying on regulated activities without MPF intermediary registration.
