2009/10 MPFA Recognition Programme for Primary School Students
To educate children the money management skill and help them develop proper attitudes on financial management, the MPFA organized a Recognition Programme for primary school students in partnership with the Hong Kong Economic Times, with the Education Bureau as the supporting organization.
The Programme targeted at Primary 3 to 6 students. Each student was given a task book with six topics of money management concepts (e.g. saving and spending) illustrated by interesting comics. Students were encouraged, with the guidance of their parents and teachers, to put the knowledge acquired into actions by completing a series of tasks. Students were also invited to share the merits of saving for the future or their experience in money management in writing.
A parenting Game Day which comprised games, workshop for students, seminar for parents and prize presentation ceremony for the writing task was held on 30 January 2010 to further disseminate money management concepts and MPF messages to the selected 100 outstanding students of the writing task and their parents. A child financial education consultant, a child psychologist and a renowned local artiste shared their knowledge and experience at the seminar.
Please refer to the Chinese webpage for details of the Programme and the Game Day.
