2009/10 Storybook and Parenting Creative Drawing Competition for Kindergarten Kids

The MPFA launched a storybook last year to educate kindergarten kids about the concept of saving and encourage them to form the good habit of saving for the future.  The storybook was well received by the parents and teachers.  This year, the MPFA has developed a new storybook which revolved around three characters who had different attitudes in managing their money.

The storybook, which also incorporated MPF messages for parents and teachers, was distributed to some 80,000 kindergarten kids, which accounted for about half of the kindergarten kids population.

Moreover, the MPFA organized a Parenting Creative Drawing Competition for kindergarten kids in partnership with Sing Tao Magazine Group.  Parents were invited to join hands with their kids to depict their desirable future life in form of creative drawing.  The Competition was held in November 2009 and over 4,300 entries were received from 108 kindergartens.  The winning families joined the Fun Event comprising games on money management, talks and a prize presentation ceremony on 9 January 2010.  Prizes were awarded to the winners of the Competition as well as the school with the most entries submitted.
