Recruitment Briefings of the Inter-University Competition for Creating a Radio Programme on MPF

The MPFA and Metro Radio have jointly organized an Inter-University Competition for Creating a Radio Programme from February to March 2009 to promulgate the benefits of having an early start on retirement planning to university students, and to enhance their knowledge of the MPF System and MPF investment.  To complement the Competition, recruitment briefings had been staged at the nine local universities in Hong Kong from 25 February to 12 March.  Celebrities including Eric Suen, EO2, F.A.M.A, Jason Chan, Zac Koo, G.E.M. were invited to give briefings about the Competition and to disseminate MPF messages to the students through interactive games and sharing sessions.  The briefings were well-received by the students and about 2,000 students attended the briefings. 

The celebrities joined hands with the students to present MPF slogans in a creative manner to enhance students’ knowledge on MPF, and brought out the message “Youth is the Best Capital” through demonstration.  The celebrities encouraged the young people to start their MPF life early and to acquire more knowledge of MPF System and MPF investment so that they can have a better planning for their retirement.  In addition, briefings about the Competition were given to the students to invite them to make use of their creativity to disseminate the MPF messages to the general public by submitting a creative proposal for a radio programme.  The winning entry was produced as a radio programme.

F.A.M.A. invited the winners of the interactive games to introduce the members of “JJ Five” Band and their respective slogans on MPF funds to the audience.
