The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (28 July) obtained three orders for payments of outstanding MPF contributions of about $461,000 against three employers in the District Court.

The District Court today granted three judgments against three employers, namely Eternal Ethos Limited, Appleworth Limited and Giant Eithertec Co. Limited. The defendants were ordered to pay the MPFA $305,159.85, $79,629.47and $77,042.91respectively, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to 31, 8 and 6 employees of the respective defendants.

The amounts awarded at the District Court will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as they are received by the MPFA. The District Court ordered each defendant to pay the cost of $930.
