Welcome!
Welcome to the website of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA). The Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) has an important role to play in contributing towards the financial security of Hong Kong's working population in their retirement years. Not only is Hong Kong's population ageing (26 percent will be over 65 by the year 2036) but people are living longer, and looking forward to longer periods in retirement. The MPF System is a vital part of a three-pillar approach to retirement support in Hong Kong, alongside a social security safety net, and private savings and insurance.
We've designed our website to make it easy to use, and for you to quickly find the information you need. Try our Interactive Guide (in the picture area above) which is designed to help you quickly discover the MPF and ORSO for yourself. Just click the appropriate box according to your employment status or interest group and select from the on-screen questions. Also, look out for the 'learn more' column on the right side of many pages in the Guide. You'll find links to additional FAQs and supporting information relevant to that page. We look forward to hearing your feedback.
