ACCESS TO INFORMATION

The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) has designated an Access to Information Officer who is responsible for ensuring that requests for access to information under the MPFA’s Code on Access to Information are properly dealt with in accordance with the specified procedures.


Information Published or Made Available Routinely


The following information is available at this website:

(a)   Information on the MPFA, including its organization structure, mission and role, services and performance pledges
(b) Information on the MPF System and occupational retirement schemes, including their features, the role of different parties, and relevant statistics
(c) Information for industry practitioners, including legislation and guidelines, forms
(d) Information for employers, employees and self-employed persons, including information on enrolment and contribution arrangements, information on MPF investment, forms
(e) Registers and useful lists
(f) Annual reports, other publications, articles, press releases and audio visual productions
(g)    List of categories of MPFA’s records


The following information is available at the MPFA’s office:

(a) Public registers established under relevant legislation
(b)  Hard copies of MPF booklets and publications (while stock lasts)

For access to other information, please forward your requests to the MPFA’s Access to Information Officer.


Procedures and Charges

Requests for information held by the MPFA but not published or made available routinely may be made verbally by calling MPFA’s hotline at 2918 0102, by letter, by email or by filling in the application form obtainable from the MPFA’s offices. You may also download the application form here. The application can be sent by fax (fax no: 2259 8806) or by post to:

Information available at this website can be downloaded free of charge (but please note the restrictions on re-dissemination or reproduction of such information as set out in the Copyright Notice at this website). The MPFA can help provide black and white printouts of information at this website at a charge of HK$1.00 per page of A4 size.

Copies of entries in the Register of Occupational Retirement Schemes are available at a fee as prescribed under the Occupational Retirement Schemes (Fees) Rules:

 

Inspection of an entry in the register HK$10.00
A copy of an entry in the register certified as correct HK$110.00


Other than publications/information available free of charge and those available at the prescribed fee set out above, the following photocopying charge will be levied:

 

Photocopying black and white on A3 or A4 size paper

HK$1.00 per photocopy
