Contribution Day for May
According to the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance, the contribution day for monthly-paid employees is the 10th day of each month. Since 10 June falls on a public holiday, the MPF contribution day for May is extended to 11 June (Tuesday). Employers are reminded to act early to avoid delay in making contributions, owing to the public holiday on 10 June 2024.
Apart from directly making contributions and submitting the remittance statement to their trustees, employers are encouraged to make use of various digital means to handle MPF contributions in a timely manner. Late payment will be subject to a surcharge.
