MPFA adopts “iAM Smart” to facilitate MPF intermediaries access eService
In collaboration with the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer under the Government’s Smart City Blueprint, the MPFA has adopted “iAM Smart” as an authentication option for MPF intermediaries (Individuals) to log in to the MPFA’s eService starting from today (29 December).
The eService is an electronic system launched by the MPFA in 2013 for MPF intermediaries, now totalling over 41,000 in number, to view their registration details, pay annual fees, and submit annual returns and notification of information changes. Leveraging on the adoption of “iAM Smart”, the service flow of the eService will be optimized making the process more convenient for users. In place of the login passwords, MPF intermediaries can now utilize the “iAM Smart” mobile app that uses fingerprints or facial recognition to log in to the eService. The process is quick and convenient and will avoid the trouble due to forgetting passwords.
An MPFA spokesperson said, “The MPFA has been promoting the wider use of electronic means among the MPF industry to enhance their operation efficiency and cost effectiveness. MPF intermediaries maintain regular and direct communications with scheme members, therefore they are playing an important role in promoting the use of electronic means to manage MPF among scheme members and employers. MPF intermediaries are advised to embark on the journey of digital transformation as soon as possible and help scheme members and employers adapt to the digitalization of the MPF.”
For queries on using “iAM Smart” to login eService, MPF intermediaries may call the MPFA hotline 2918 0102 or view the online demonstration on the MPFA website.(https://eservices.mpfa.org.hk/eservice/demo/iamsmart_login/index.html)
