An administrative assistant of the MPFA preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19
A spokesperson of the MPFA today (7 February) said that an administrative assistant who works in its Kwun Tong office was informed today by the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) that she was preliminarily tested positive for COVID-19. The MPFA has immediately arranged thorough cleaning and sterilization of the office which has been closed temporarily.
The administrative assistant is responsible for internal clerical work and is not required to have contacts with the public. She has worn face masks and followed relevant virus prevention measures at work, and has last performed duties at the abovementioned workplace on 31 January. The CHP is following up the case and the MPFA has maintained close liaison with the CHP in taking follow-up actions as appropriate.
To minimise the chance of virus transmission, the MPFA earlier announced the closure of customer service counters in its Kwai Chung, Kwun Tong and Sheung Wan offices starting from today.
