The MPFA today (4 March) announced the re-appointment of Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, MPFA Chairman as Chairman and non-executive director (NED) of eMPF Platform Company Limited (eMPF Company). Nine incumbent NEDs were also re-appointed to the Board of Directors of eMPF Company for a term of two years. 

The nine re-appointed NEDs (in alphabetical order of surnames) were the Honourable Chan Hoi-yan, Mr Chan Kam-lam, Dr Humphrey Leung Kwong-wai, Mr James Li Tsz-shu, Mr Webster Ng Kam-wah, Professor Jack Poon Sik-ching, the Honourable Bill Tang Ka-piu, Mr Dieter Yih Lai-tak, and Dr Daniel Yip Chung-yin.

Mrs Lau welcomed the appointments and thanked all NEDs for their continued valuable contribution to the work of the Board of Directors. 

The eMPF Company was established on 5 March 2021 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the MPFA to develop and operate the eMPF Platform. The purpose of the eMPF Platform, which has commenced operation in June 2024, is to standardize, simplify and automate the administration processes of MPF schemes, thereby enhancing the operational efficiency of the MPF System and reducing administration costs.
