MPFA promotes eMPF to Civil Servants
The MPFA is hosting an exhibition at the Central Government Offices (CGO) to encourage civil servants to register with and use the eMPF Platform (eMPF).
Supported by the Civil Service Bureau, the exhibition, running from 30 June to 11 July at the CGO, aims to introduce eMPF to civil servants enrolled in MPF schemes. The eMPF Outreach Team is also helping civil servants register with eMPF on-site.
Speaking at the opening event of the exhibition yesterday (3 July), MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau said, “The SAR Government is the largest employer in Hong Kong, with over 130,000 civil servants enrolled in MPF schemes. This exhibition at the CGO demonstrates the eMPF project team’s proactive engagements with various user groups. I urge all civil servants to pay attention to the onboarding timing of their respective MPF schemes and to register with eMPF accordingly to enjoy the better MPF management experience provided by this new digital platform. In the coming months, the eMPF project team will continue to arrange outreach activities in various districts to promote eMPF to more users.”
Financial Secretary Mr Paul Chan, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Mr Christopher Hui, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Ms Rosanna Law, Permanent Secretary for Labour and Welfare Ms Alice Lau, Permanent Secretary for the Civil Service Mr Clement Leung, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare Mr Ho Kai Ming, Under Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs Mr Clarence Leung, and Deputy Commissioner for Digital Policy (Data Governance) Mr Donald Mak, as well as staff-side representatives from four civil service central staff consultative councils visited the exhibition booth to gain firsthand insights into the benefits of eMPF. The event also features Digital Policy Office and MPF trustees, which have set up counters to help visitors register with eMPF using the “iAM Smart” mobile app and to provide detailed information on various MPF schemes respectively.
