MPFA calls on MPF industry to vote in the Legislative Council General Election
The Legislative Council General Election (LegCo election) will be held on 7 December 2025. The MPFA calls on the MPF industry to vote in the upcoming LegCo election to fulfil their civic responsibility and elect legislators who represent the people’s voice.
Financial Secretary Mr Paul Chan, MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, Permanent Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (Financial Services) Ms Salina Yan, MPFA Managing Director Mr Cheng Yan-chee, as well as members of the MPFA Management Board and senior management today (17 November) promoted the LegCo election and called on the industry to vote.
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau said, “The Legislative Council is a vital component of the political structure of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). It plays a pivotal role in government administration, economic development and improving people’s livelihoods. The MPFA fully supports the LegCo election and has written to the MPF industry calling on its members to cast their votes on election day for the candidates they consider suitable, thereby contributing to Hong Kong’s long-term economic development and the well-being of its citizens.”
Mrs Lau added, “We have promoted the LegCo election through various channels, including the MPFA customer service counters, hotline, chatbot, website and social media platforms, the eMPF fleet, and various stakeholder-engagement activities, encouraging members of the public to vote in the LegCo election and work together to create a better future.”
The MPFA and eMPF Platform Company Limited have also encouraged all staff and their family members to vote in the LegCo election.
