MPFA alerts public about fraudulent websites

MPFA has recently identified a number of fraudulent websites impersonating MPFA (see screenshots below), which attempt to deceive members of the public into providing personal information.  MPFA has reported these websites to the Police and urges the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to these scams.

The fraudulent websites have the following URLs: “axm[.]info”, “user[.]axm[.]info/user_df8ae2f5.html”, “api[.]ai-t[.]xyz/s/G2EqUg”, “mpfhk[.]xyz” and “mp-f[.]xyz”. They falsely claim that the administration of MPF schemes has been transferred to them to deceive the public into providing personal information. An MPFA spokesperson said that MPFA has no connection with these fraudulent websites and reminded the public that the official MPFA website is https://www.mpfa.org.hk and the official eMPF PlatformTM (eMPF) website is https://www.empf.org.hk. The public should exercise caution in identifying the websites.

If members of the public are suspicious about the authenticity of a website claiming to represent the MPFA or eMPF, they should contact MPFA (tel: 2918 0102 / email: mpfa@mpfa.org.hk) or eMPF Platform Company Limited (tel: 183 2622 / email: enquiry@support.empf.org.hk) to verify its authenticity or report it to the Police immediately.
