The latest issue of the MPFA Newsletter introduces the new ground for early MPF withdrawal
The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (6 October) published the latest issue of the MPFA Newsletter, which explains the application procedure for early withdrawal of Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) benefits on a newly added ground and the key points to note. The new arrangement, which came into effect in August this year, allows early withdrawal of MPF benefits on the ground of terminal illness.
MPF Feature introduces the newly-launched video series, MPF Heroes, which encourages scheme members to actively manage their MPF accounts and advises them to hold only one personal account. The article introduces the four MPF Heroes featured in the series and through their stories, useful skills for managing MPF accounts.
Also in this issue is an interview with Joseph Lee, Head of Trustees Supervision, who outlines how the MPFA supervises trustees in areas including vetting fund applications, ensuring scheme operations comply with the law, and formulating implementation guidelines for new measures.
Published once every quarter, the MPFA Newsletter provides updates on the MPF System and the MPFA, and offers tips for scheme members on how to manage their MPF. All issues of the MPFA Newsletter are available on the MPFA website.
