Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) Chairman Dr David Wong published his latest blog post on the MPFA website today (4 November). He talked about MPFA’s recent visits to authorities in the Central People’s Government (CPG) and its attendance at the OECD/IOPS Global Forum on Private Pensions held in Beijing. He also shared highlights of the symposium, “Privately Managed Retirement Schemes: Rethink and Refine”, organized by the MPFA.

Dr Wong said the importance of the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) System is recognized by different international experts and that CPG officials agreed that the System provides a vital role in Hong Kong’s retirement protection system.

Dr Wong added the MPF System is doing well in terms of coverage, security and sustainability, and that the MPFA will continue to carry out reforms to enhance the System.
