Fraud tactics are constantly evolving, and scammers often use deceptive methods to mislead the public. A moment of inattention can lead to your becoming a victim of a scam, so everyone should remain vigilant at all times.

MPFA has recently discovered that fraudsters impersonating MPFA and eMPF Platform Company Limited (eMPF Company) are sending suspected phishing emails. At first glance, these emails may appear to be issued in the name of the eMPF Platform (eMPF) and attempt to lure scheme members into clicking embedded hyperlinks that direct them to fraudulent websites.

MPFA and eMPF Company are highly concerned about these scams and hereby clarify that they have no connection whatsoever to these fake websites or emails. eMPF Company has reported these cases to the Police. If any users have received suspicious emails or clicked on suspicious links and suspect that their personal information may have been leaked, they should report it to the Police immediately.

To avoid falling into victim to scams, please note the following: 
• eMPF users should log in to eMPF only via the official eMPF website or the official eMPF mobile application.
• Staff from MPFA and eMPF Company will never proactively contact individual scheme members to promote MPF products or documents, nor will they request personal or MPF account information over the phone.
• The official email domains of the MPFA and eMPF Company are “@mpfa.org.hk”, “@empf.org.hk”, “@support.empf.org.hk” and “@osc.empf.org.hk”.
• If you receive an email from someone claiming to be from either MPFA or eMPF Company but not issued from the any of above official domains, do not click on any embedded hyperlinks or provide any personal or eMPF account information.
