MPFA Chairman exchanges with the Hong Kong Retirement Schemes Association (20 September 2021)

MPFA Chairman Mrs. Ayesha Lau met with representatives of the Hong Kong Retirement Scheme Association yesterday (September 20), to exchange views on the latest developments of the MPF System and the ways to promote retirement planning and protection, in a bid to sustain the momentum of engagement of stakeholders along the MPF value chain.

Mrs Lau praised the Association’s effort in understanding key retirement planning issues faced by different scheme members through research studies. Since MPF System has been established for over 20 years, the MPFA is now dedicated to improving its adequacy and efficiency as an integral part of the multi-pillar retirement protection framework in Hong Kong. For instance, MPFA actively encourages scheme members to make voluntary contributions in addition to mandatory contributions to further enrich their retirement protection.
