MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, Chairman of the Mandatory Provident Fund Industry Schemes Committee Hon Lam Chun-sing, and MPFA colleagues last Friday (23 June) visited a training centre run by the Hong Kong Construction Industry Employees General Union (HKCIEGU) in Kam Tin and met with over 150 construction trainees and workers. During the visit, they promoted the Industry Schemes, updated the latest progress of the eMPF Platform, introduced the Default Investment Strategy (DIS) and exchanged views with participants and listened to their views about the MPF System.

Mrs Lau reiterated that the MPFA is committed to protect scheme members’ MPF rights and interests and emphasized the MPFA would continue to maintain close communication with the HKCIEGU and provide prompt support to workers who were being defaulted MPF contributions. Meanwhile, Hon Lam specifically called on construction trainees to open MPF casual employee accounts with the two MPF Industry Schemes trustees to facilitate their employers in making MPF contributions.
