eMPF Platform spearheads MPF into a New Digital Era (10 April 2025)
MPFA Chief Operating Officer Cynthia Hui attended (on 10 April) a seminar on the eMPF Platform as the keynote speaker and participated in a panel discussion, sharing with over one hundred employer representatives and industry professionals the latest updates on the eMPF Platform and new transformation opportunities that it brings.
She said that since the launch of the eMPF Platform in June last year, six MPF schemes of five trustees have onboarded the Platform. Over 270,000 transactions have been processed through the Platform, with instructions of about two-thirds of them given via electronic means. In particular, the digital uptake rate for submission of contribution data and change of fund choice was 80%. Comparing to the situation before the launch of the eMPF Platform, there has been a significant increase in users making use of digital means to handle MPF administration work, indicating an encouraging start to the digital transformation journey.
MPFA understands that employers need to adapt to the new Platform as well as change their behaviours to embrace digital transformation. To this end, the MPFA, eMPF Platform Company, and the project contractor will continue to introduce various support measures, educational and promotional activities to assist employers and scheme members in using the eMPF Platform.
