eMPF Platform – assisting MPF intermediaries in providing quality and efficient services to clients (12 May 2025)
MPFA Director (Policy and Regulation) Kent Yau attended a seminar hosted by the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong on 12 May, introducing the functions and benefits of the eMPF Platform to financial planners and MPF industry practitioners. He mentioned that currently nine MPF schemes from six trustees have joined the eMPF Platform, thereby enabling relevant employers and scheme members to manage their MPF administrative procedures on the Platform.
Yau added that the role of MPF intermediaries in the MPF System will remain vital. MPFA urged MPF intermediaries to leverage the Platform and join hands with their clients to enter the new MPF era for managing MPF with more convenience and efficiency.
During the event, the eMPF Outreach Team provided a detailed briefing and a demonstration on eMPF functions and its operation. The representatives from the Labour Department also explained the abolition of MPF offsetting arrangement at the seminar.
