MPFA Chairman promotes MPF to performing artists (30 June 2025)
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Wallace Lau visited the Boom Theatre and met with performing artists on 30 Jun, sharing the key features of the Default Investment Strategy (DIS) and the latest developments of the eMPF Platform, as well as listening to their views on the MPF System and retirement protection.
Mrs Lau encouraged young people in the performing arts industry who are self-employed to make good use of the MPF for retirement planning as early as possible. Through flexible arrangements, self-employed persons can make contributions on a monthly or yearly basis. She also said that scheme members who lack investment experience or time to manage their MPF may consider choosing the DIS.
Separately, Mr Lau introduced the benefits of the eMPF Platform to the participants. Scheme members can manage their MPF with ease via mobile phones or computers anytime and anywhere, including opening accounts, making contributions and switching funds.
