MPFA Chairman promotes the eMPF to grassroots workers in Sham Shui Po (21 September 2025)
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Wallace Lau and the eMPF Outreach Team visited Sham Shui Po on Sunday (21 Sep) to introduce the latest developments, benefits, functions and support services of the eMPF to over a hundred grassroots workers in the neighbourhood. The eMPF Outreach Team also assisted participants to do on-site eMPF registration and responded to participants’ enquiries.
Mrs Lau highlighted that eMPF has entered the final phase of onboarding, with the four largest MPF trustees (AIA, Sun Life, Manulife and HSBC) joining the eMPF one after the other from September 2025. She called on all scheme members to pay close attention to notifications from the trustees and to register with the eMPF accordingly, preparing for onboarding and embracing the “new digital era of MPF”.
The event was co-organized with the Sham Shui Po Branch of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB), with participation from Legislative Council Member Hon Vincent Cheng, Chairman of DAB Sham Shui Po Branch Chan Wai-ming, several Vice Chairmen and District Council Members. The event also featured the artiste Florica Lin, who co-hosted a Q&A session with participants. The Digital Policy Office’s iAM Smart Mobile Registration Team also assisted participants in registering “iAM Smart” at the same venue, enabling seamless identity verification for eMPF registration.
