MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Wallace Lau met with representatives and professional football players of Tai Po Football Club, Champion of the Hong Kong Premier League for 2024-25, on 13 Oct, sharing the key features of the Default Investment Strategy (DIS) and the functions of the eMPF Platform, as well as listening to their views on the MPF System.

Mrs Lau said that professional football players are busy with training every day and often have to travel abroad for matches, so they may not have time to manage their MPF. They could therefore consider investing their MPF in DIS which has diversified investment arrangement, “automatic de-risking” mechanism, and fee caps.

Separately, Mr Lau called on the participants to register on the eMPF the soonest so as to enjoy the various facilitation and benefits brought about by it, with a view to embracing the “new digital era of MPF”.
