MPFA Managing Director Cheng Yan-chee and colleagues engaged in a tripartite exchange with representatives of the Administration of Social Insurance Fund of Guangdong (ASIFGD) and the Social Security Fund of Macao SAR earlier (Macao FSS) (14 Nov) in Macao to share views on the latest developments of retirement protection across the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

Cheng said that MPF is a vital component of Hong Kong’s retirement protection framework through helping the working population to accumulate retirement savings. He also shared the latest progress of eMPF at the meeting, highlighting that eMPF standardizes, streamlines and automates MPF scheme administration processes, thereby providing more efficient MPF management to scheme members and driving fee reduction.

_{Cheng Yan-chee said that the MPFA aspired to promote tripartite experience sharing through regular exchanges, with a view to contributing to the development of retirement protection in GBA.}

This meeting builds on the regular liaison established after the tripartite exchange conference held in Nansha, Guangzhou in 2023, with a view to facilitating experience sharing and promoting development of retirement protection in GBA.
