MPFA Chairman Ayesha Macpherson Lau was interviewed on NOW TV’s programme “Now Forum”, in which she shared MPF investment performances for both 2025 and the past 25 years. She also highlighted the latest estimation of fee reductions to be achieved by the eMPF Platform (eMPF).

In the programme, Mrs Lau said that eMPF fees are expected to reduce to below 30 basis points (0.30%) in the 2026-27 financial year, down from the current 37 basis points (0.37%). She noted that the fee would further reduce to between 20 and 25 basis points (0.20 – 0.25%) within five years, ahead of the original 10-year forecast. She added that a cumulative total cost savings of $50 billion is expected in the first decade following the launch of eMPF.
