MPFA joins hands with Home and Youth Affairs Bureau to promote financial education to youth hostel tenants (11 February 2026)
MPFA, in partnership with the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau (HYAB), has launched a pilot scheme of financial planning and MPF workshops for youth hostel tenants under the Youth Hostel Scheme in the first quarter of 2026, with an aim to deliver a series of financial planning and MPF workshops for youth hostel tenants under the Youth Hostel Scheme.

Speaking at the kick-off ceremony of the HYAB Youth Financial Education Programme on 11 February, MPFA Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Wallace Lau emphasized that young people are advised to make good use of the power of time to maximize the compounding effect to accumulate their retirement reserves. He also shared with the participants that the eMPFTM is the most significant reform since the implementation of MPF which streamlined, automated and digitalized the administration processes of MPF previously provided by the trustees. Employees could now manage their MPF with greater ease and cost efficiency with this new digital platform.

At the same occasion, an eMPF counter was set up to offer on-site assistance for registration and answering enquiries about the eMPF.
