MPFA Chairman presents the MPFA’s 2026-27 budget and the latest developments of the eMPF at the meeting of the Panel on Financial Affairs of the Legislative Council (2 March 2026)
MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau provided updates on the Authority's 2026-27 budget and the latest developments of the eMPF™ Platform (eMPF) at the meeting of the Legislative Council (LegCo) Panel on Financial Affairs. Mrs. Lau highlighted the three key tasks of the MPFA and the eMPF Platform Company in the coming year:
- Complete the onboarding of all MPF schemes to the eMPF Platform - The two Industry Schemes will get onboard to the eMPF Platform by the end of March and the end of April respectively;
- Enhance the service level of eMPF Platform - The MPFA will continue to work closely with the eMPF Company to closely supervise the performance of the contractor; and
- Increase digital adoption - The MPFA will continue to encourage more users to administer their MPF through electronic means.
In addition, the MPFA will continue to prioritise the interests of MPF scheme members by completing the review of the relevant income levels for MPF contributions (2022–2026 cycle), implementing the first phase of MPF "Full Portability" and supporting the next-phase legislative work, reviewing and enhancing the default investment strategy (DIS) and expanding the permissible asset classes for MPF investment.
