MPFA attends joint meetings organized by IOPS and OECD in Paris (4 March 2026)
MPFA Managing Director Cheng Yan-chee and Executive Director (Policy) Eric Cheng attended joint meetings organized by the International Organisation of Pension Supervisors (IOPS) and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) from 2 to 4 March 2026 in Paris, France.

Cheng Yan-chee briefed the attendees on the measures in place to regulate intermediaries, as well as MPFA’s initiatives aimed at promoting the understanding of scheme members regarding MPF investments and retirement protection planning.

During the meetings, MPFA representatives actively participated in the discussion on MPF related topics, such as life-cycle investments, governance, supervision and value-for-money considerations of MPF funds.

MPFA representatives also took the opportunity to promote the IOPS meeting, OECD/IOPS Global Forum and eMPFTM workshop to be held in Hong Kong from 7 to 10 December 2026.
IOPS is the international standard-setting body for pension supervisory issues with the objective of improving the quality and effectiveness of the supervision of private pension systems globally.
