eMPF drives digital transformation and paves the way for MPF reform initiatives (24 June 2026)
MPFA Director (Policy and Regulation) Kent Yau recently spoke at a hybrid seminar organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB), where he shared insights with about 400 banking practitioners on digital transformation under the eMPFTM Platform (eMPF) and latest reform initiatives of the MPF System.
Yau highlighted that eMPF simplifies and standardizes MPF administrative processes through digitalization and reshapes the MPF ecosystem. He also looked forward to working together with the banking industry and relevant stakeholders to support MPF scheme members in planning for retirement protection more effectively and assist them in building up retirement savings.
