eMPF Platform: Implementing and advancing the digital transformation of MPF (31 July 2026)
Eric Kwok, Director (Digital and Information Technology) of the eMPF Platform Company, recently attended a seminar on artificial intelligence (AI), sharing practical experience of the eMPFTM Platform in advancing digital transformation and innovation with financial and technology professionals.

Kwok said that eMPF was a pioneer in digital transformation within the global private pension system, with an unprecedented scale and scope. The challenges not only involved the migration of a vast amount of data, but also required corresponding legislative amendments. Robust cybersecurity and data protection measures are also in place for properly safeguarding the personal asset data of scheme members.

Kwok added that eMPF has enhanced the efficiency of MPFA’s regulatory operation, enabling more effective detection of employers’ defaulted contributions hence strengthening the protection of employees’ interests.
