MPFA shares the latest MPF developments and future plans with the financial planning community (3 September 2026)
MPFA Director (Supervision) Ginni Wong delivered a keynote speech at the Financial Planning Conference 2026, organized by the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK) on 3 Sep. During the conference, she shared the latest developments of the MPF System and the eMPFTM Platform, as well as the future plans for further enhancement with nearly 300 financial planners and industry practitioners.

Wong said that the MPFA has been proactively promoting various reforms and enhancement measures over the years, including the introduction of the Default Investment Strategy (DIS), Tax-deductible Voluntary Contributions (TVC) and the eMPF, etc. MPFA will continue to uphold the principle of putting scheme members’ interests first and actively advance various initiatives to enhance scheme members’ retirement savings, including continual refinements of investment regulations to improve risk-adjusted returns, reviewing DIS and implementing MPF full portability, etc. She looks forward to continuing close collaboration with the financial planning sector for the retirement well-being of the working population in Hong Kong.
