The MPFA today (3 March) announced the appointment of two new non-executive directors (NEDs) and the re-appointment of eight incumbent NEDs to the Board of Directors of eMPF Platform Company Limited (eMPF Company) for a term of two years. 

Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, MPFA Chairman, was re-appointed as Chairman and NED of eMPF Company. Other re-appointed NEDs were Mr Chan Kam-lam, Dr Humphrey Leung Kwong-wai, Mr James Li Tsz-shu, Mr Webster Ng Kam-wah, Honourable Bill Tang Ka-piu, Mr Dieter Yih Lai-tak, and Dr Daniel Yip Chung-yin. The two newly appointed NEDs were the Honourable Rebecca Chan Hoi-yan and Professor Jack Poon Sik-ching. 

MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau welcomed the appointments. She also thanked outgoing NED Ms Luzia Hung for her valuable contribution to the work of the Board of Directors during her term of service.   

The eMPF Company was established on 5 March 2021 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the MPFA to develop and operate the eMPF Platform. The purpose of the eMPF Platform is to standardize, simplify and automate the administration processes of MPF schemes, thereby enhancing the operational efficiency of the MPF System and reducing administrative costs.
