To provide instant and personalized investment education assistance to MPF scheme members, MPFA has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, called the “MPF Investment Education AI Assistant” (AI Assistant), on its MPF investment education thematic website. Leveraging the use of generative AI technology and integrating official MPFA information, the AI Assistant enables scheme members to interact with it anytime, anywhere, helping them better understand how to manage their MPF investments. 

Key functions of the AI Assistant will:

• Provide real-time information and personalized responses: the AI Assistant integrates generative AI technology with MPFA’s official investment education resources to provide evidence-based and tailored answers to users’ specific enquiries. Users no longer need to search across multiple platforms for scattered information, as they can quickly access authoritative MPF investment information from MPFA, improving decision-making efficiency.
• Enhance learning experience: the AI Assistant translates MPF investment concepts into clear, easy-to-understand conversational language. Its engaging interactions allow users to grasp key ideas more easily.
• Assist understanding: each response includes “References” with links to relevant official information sources. For more complex concepts, simple and easy-to-understand visual aids are provided to help users quickly grasp the key points.
• Guide exploration: the AI Assistant suggests frequently asked questions based on different scenarios, helping users gradually understand related topics, stimulating their thinking and progressively enhancing their MPF knowledge.

An MPFA spokesperson added that the AI Assistant would provide only objective and official information. It would not offer any investment advice, recommend specific MPF schemes or funds, or assess the suitability of MPF investment products for individual scheme members. Scheme members should take into account their own investment goals and risk tolerance, etc. when making MPF investment decisions. 

MPFA will later extend the AI Assistant to other MPF investment education tools, such as the retirement planning mobile app (「樂享退休GPS」), to provide more comprehensive, convenient and intelligent information to scheme members, and continuously improve their ability to manage their MPF.
