Mandatory Contributions

Mandatory contributions made for an employee are fully and immediately vested in the employee once they are paid to the MPF trustee. Any investment return will also be fully and immediately vested in the employee.

 

Employers

Employers who fail to comply with the legal requirements stipulated in the MPFSO may commit a criminal offence.
 
MPFA may file a civil claim on behalf of employees to recover contributions in arrears. It may also initiate prosecution against the officers, directors and partners of the employers.
 
MPFA may also impose financial penalties on employers who fail to comply with the legal requirements.
