Good MPF Employer Award 2020-2021 open for applications

The Good MPF Employer Award 2020-21, organized by the MPFA, is open for applications from today (1 April) until 30 June.

 

The Good MPF Employer Award, now in its seventh year, has introduced two special awards this year to commend and encourage companies / organizations that have made continuous efforts to enhance the retirement protection for their employees over the years. Employers that meet the relevant criteria will be presented with one or both awards. Companies / organizations that have been awarded the Good MPF Employer Award for five consecutive years or more will receive the Good MPF Employer 5 Years+ Award. Companies / organizations that meet all the following five criteria will be honoured with the Best All-round MPF Employer award: (1) received the Good MPF Employer Award for seven consecutive years, (2) offered more than one MPF scheme for their employees to choose from, (3) offered MPF voluntary contributions for some or all of their employees, (4) received the e-Contribution Award, and (5) received the MPF Support Award.

 

Companies / organizations that would like to apply for the Award can fill in and submit an application online on the Good MPF Employer Award website. Employees are welcome to nominate their employers for the Award by submitting a nomination form.

 

The aim of the Good MPF Employer Award is to promote and foster employers’ compliance with the MPF legislation, and give recognition to employers that are exemplary in enhancing the retirement benefits of their employees. In addition to having participated in an MPF scheme for at least one year and complying with the MPF legislation, a Good MPF Employer must have provided extra retirement protection for its employees. The response of the Good MPF Employer Award has been encouraging since its debut in 2015, with over 2,200 companies and organizations awarded.

 

The results of the Good MPF Employer Award 2020-21 will be announced in October 2021. The MPFA will present award certificates to the awardees, and the list of awardees will be uploaded to the MPFA website for reference by the public. In addition to being invited to attend activities organized by the MPFA and receiving the latest information from the MPFA, the awardees will be entitled to displaying the award logo on their websites, and in their promotional materials, advertisements and activities until 30 September 2022.
