Occupational Safety and Health Charter

The MPFA makes its best endeavours to ensure that all statutory and contractual obligations in respect of occupational safety and health are vigilantly fulfilled in order to prevent and reduce the occurrence of risks/hazards to safety and health in the workplace.

The MPFA strives consciously to integrate all reasonable and practical occupational safety and health measures into its work plans with the aim of creating and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. We provide safe equipment/systems and arrange training on safety and health to ensure that all persons working for/with MPFA, visiting our offices and engaging in MPFA’s activities are protected from undue risks/hazards.

The successful promotion of occupational safety and health relies on the joint efforts of the MPFA management and all staff members in taking up the following responsibilities:

Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations on occupational safety and health;
  • Provide and maintain a healthy and safe work environment for staff as far as practicable;
  • Promote awareness and consciousness of occupational safety and health among all staff; and
  • Adopt and encourage practices that minimize occupational risks/hazards to safety and health.

Staff

  • Observe safety regulations and work procedures set down by the MPFA;
  • Take care of the safety and health of others at work;
  • Actively participate in training arranged by the MPFA on occupational safety and health; and
  • Report improper behaviour/conditions that might endanger safety or health at work and give suggestions on improvement.
